Local Farmers Host Tour During Young Farmers Conference
Sara and Raymond Shaw of Coosa County hosted over 100 members of the Alabama Farmers Federation's Young Farmers division March 4. The stop at the Shaw's Pinthlocco Plantation was part of three different farm tours during the Young Farmers Conference in Montgomery, attended by almost 400 members.

Coosa County Student Studying Agriculture Receives College Scholarship
Auburn University student and scholarship recipient Molly Joiner of Kellyton was recognized during the Alabama Farmers Federation 2016 Scholarship Recipients Luncheon Aug. 27 at the Ham Wilson Arena in Auburn. Joiner graduated from Mellow Valley Christian Academy and studies poultry science, pre-vet track. The $1,750 scholarship was funded by the Coosa County Farmers Federation and the Federation’s Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation. Fatal Vision Event Comes To Coosa County's Central High School
Coosa County's Central High School students experienced the dangers of drunk and distracted driving through the state's Fatal Vision program held at the school April 18. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency oversees scheduling and execution of Fatal Vision events.
